WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
"I have always had a great experience buying online from MetropolisComics.com, and have been very pleased with the grading, packaging and communication."

The Metropolis Survey

Dear Customers,

I just got back from Wonder Con. I went to walk the show and do some
buying. While the show was very slow for big-ticket items according to
many dealers I spoke with, I was able to make several major purchases. I
bought a large high grade CGC graded collection filled with many
golden age keys and runs. Many of these books will be listed next month, as
I have not been able to process the books before this update. I also
bought an original owner horror/western/crime collection- once again
these books will be listed next month.

On the selling end I am happy to report increased sales from our web site
and phone orders. Also please check out our auctions on ebay at:
http://cgi6.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?MfcISAPICommand=ViewListedItems&userid=metropoliscomics&include=0&since=-1&sort=2&rows=25.
You may notice the selection of books on the site is less than usual-not to
worry this will go back to normal in the next month's update. We are
currently evaluating the new price guide and figuring out which prices
need to be raised, lowered and left alone.

As for the Overstreet Price Guide…hmmm. While I respect Bob
Overstreet tremendously I believe that many prices rose too high. I hope
there are no long-term repercussions and I hope he won't have to bring
prices back down like he did in 1997. Please do not get me wrong I do not
think every increase was a mistake I just think it is better to move up in a
slow and cautious manner rather than make huge incremental increases.
On the upside anybody who has a nice collection just increased his or her
net worth. On the downside anybody starting to put together a new
collection is going to have to pony up a lot of bread.

Regardless, I believe that things will work out in the long run and the market
will find it's proper price level as it usually does. I would like to
know what many of you think so please email me and let me know.

Sincerely,

Vincent Zurzolo
