WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
"Metropolis' grading is what makes them head and shoulders above the [business name omitted]s and [business name omitted]s of the industry. I have bought many books and I mean many that other dealers would grade (and price) a full point higher than how Metropolis would strictly grade. I always look to Metropolis first when buying any key book."

I am getting married this Friday so this market report will be short and sweet.
The comic market is in great shape. We have been selling a lot of everything. We just hired a new sales person, Peter Pardo. Along with Ed Sanchez Pete will be helping to give more personal attention to our ever-growing customer base. We hope you will call, write or email your want lists to us at [email protected] so we may further serve you.
The most interesting trend I have seen recently is the sale of a lot of esoteric Golden Age Comedy/Cartoon type titles like Joker Comics and Comedy Comics. I have also noticed an increase in the prices of many pedigree books like Mile Highs and White Mountains.
The CGC market has been holding steady for the most part. The high end Bronze Age comics like X-Men Giant Size #1 and Hulk #181 are not as strong as they once were but I just sold a CGC 9.6 GS X-Men #1 for $2,650.00. Watch for late 70s and 80s CGC comics to pick up in the next few months.
Metropolis is going to be setting up at the National Comic Convention in New York this November so let us know if you would like us to bring specific books for you. See you soon!
