Artists Information

Kurt Schaffenberger's first job in comics came in June of 1941, when he was assigned to inking backgrounds for a 'Captain Marvel' story for Fawcett. After the war, Schaffenberger joined the studio of C.C. Beck and Pete Costanza, and his work expanded by becoming a featured artist on 'Ibis the Invincible', also by Fawcett. Schaffenberger was hired by DC Comics in 1957 to become the artist on 'Lois Lane'. From there, Schaffenberger became a regular contributor to the entire Superman comics line. He later became a frequent artist on the anthology series 'The Superman Family'. Schaffenberger also created artwork for DC's Shazam! series after C.C. Beck's departure. In 1968, Kurt Schaffenberger succeeded Jim Mooney as the artist on the 'Supergirl' feature.

Saviuk graduated SVA, where he studied under Will Eisner, began working for DC on Flash, Superman and Action Comics in the 70s and 80s, moved to Marvel where he illustrated Web of Spider-Man for seven years, also worked for Topps and commercial art gigs at present.

Karl Kesel is an American comics writer and inker whose works have primarily been under contract for DC Comics. He is a member of Periscope Studio and is best known for his collaborations with fellow artist Tom Grummett on The Adventures of Superman, Superboy, and Section Zero.

Luis Eduardo Barreto Ferreyra was an Uruguayan artist who worked in the comic book and comic strip industries including several years of prominent work for DC Comics. Barreto notably had a long run on The New Teen Titans in the 1980's, he also had memorable runs on Atari Force, The Shadow Strikes, and drew the graphic novel Lex Luthor: The Unauthorized Biography.
