The evil robot covertly follows the X-Men back to their base to study them, and soon renders them unconscious, as the recently departed team-member Mimic returns to the base he is confronted by the Super-Adaptoid, and the two characters, whose skills are quite similar, fight each other to a standstill, eventually leading to the nullification of one another's powers, rendering Mimic a normal human once again and sending Super-Adaptoid into another state of imprisonment. Pencils by Werner Roth and inks by John Tartaglione.
Artist Information
Werner Roth is an American comic book artist who's worked with Marvel's predecessor Atlas during the golden age of comics. Werner was also notably the artist who took over the X-men series after Jack Kirby left. Roth's other famous works include Lorna, the Jungle Girl and Superman's Girlfriend, Lois Lane.
