Dheeraj Verma art; pg. 15; 2013; image size 10.5" x 16"Beautiful, incredibly detailed penciled page from IDW's Transformers: Robots In Disguise showcasing Verma's mastery of technical drawing. This book, like most of Verma's comics, was printed from his tight and detailed pencils, and you can see why, the drawing on display is just exquisite. Verma is an artist of extraordinary talent who had a successful career in India before breaking into American comic books. He's also done work for Dynamite, Dark Horse, Avatar, Devil's Due and Marvel Comics. Art is in excellent condition. Signed by Verma.
Artist Information
Dheeraj Verma is a world renown Indian comic book artist/creator, he is often referred to as the first Indian to enter the U.S. comic industry. Verma began his career working for Avatar press illustrating horror titles such as Nightmare on Elm street and Night of the living dead. Dheeraj grew to fame working on the Transformers: Fall of Cybertron series published by IDW and is currently penciling pages for Conan the Slayer from Dark Horse comics. Verma also caused some controversy in the fine arts circle when he introduced original art pages from Transformers and Lady Death to a seven day exhibit for the Indian Governments national academy of fine arts, Lalit Kala Akademi in Delhi.
