Batman #9 created a tradition in comics with the first Christmas story for the Caped Crusader! The appropriately-titled "Christmas" has Batman restoring a poor kid's faith in Santa Claus while also getting the boy's framed father out of prison. Since then, Batman has regularly found himself in action amidst the Yuletide cheer. He's even recently began teaming up with Santa Claus for the Silent Knight run of limited series. It all begins here, however, with Batman taking a clear lead over Archie Andrews in claiming over 80 years of Christmas comic adventures. (Superman still takes the lead with the Superman's Christmas Adventure special in 1940!) Also of note: the Joker making his ninth appearance in "The Case of the Lucky Law-Breakers!"
