Red Dragon Comics #7 has become a top WWII collectible for several reasons — starting with Japan's Prime Minister in a rare cover turn as the sole object of the Red Dragon's wrath. Hideki Tojo was more commonly seen sharing cover space with Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini (who both also cameo in the interior pages). Golden Age collectors, of course, have made sure that comics featuring real-life Axis leaders remain in hot demand. Red Dragon Comics #7 also offers plenty of extreme pre-Code violence backed by the publisher's promise that this is a comic for both boys and girls. That's all in addition to this title's general scarcity, with only 28 copies listed in the CGC Census as of Aug. '24.
