WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
"Metropolis constantly works hard to bring in new collections. They stay on top of market trends and are always offering their customers new acquisitions through their mailing list."

January 2003 MARKET REPORT
Dear Valued Customers,
The New Year has begun and like many of you I am excited to find out what the world of comic collecting has in store for me. What will be hot? Which books will appreciate the most when the new price guide comes out? What new collection will be unearthed? Will there be another record breaking price realized for a single comic sale? We can only wait with baited breath.
Next month the Daredevil movie will be released on Valentine’s Day (how romantic). I believe many dealer’s and collectors will be trying to capitalize on the film by offering many #1s and key high grades on ebay. However, I have my doubts as to how well they will do. Daredevil does not have the hype or name recognition that Spider-Man had. It will be compared to Spider-Man which did better than anyone expected it to do. This combined with ebay not being what it used to be should show my predictions to be correct.
Low and behold as I looked back over this month’s sales and I saw that 2 Daredevil #1s sold, one in G/VG $240.00 and the other a VG- $305.00. Other titles that sold well this month include low grade All Flash Quarterly, high grade Avengers, high grade 1950s Batman, mid and high grade early Showcase and high grade Tales to Astonish and Tales of Suspense.
